The Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP)

Passed unanimously by the National Committee in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – 25 April 2015
Whereas, the  Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a largely secret negotiation process that intends to integrate/harmonize countries from North America (Canada, US, and Mexico) with the 28 formerly-sovereign countries making up the European Union (EU); and,

Whereas, this regional trading partnership aims to establish a comprehensive free trade agreement with the socialist, bailout-prone, nanny-state known as the European Union and to result in the eventual political merger of the US and EU ending our national independence and uniquely American personal freedoms; and,

Whereas, “free and open trade” translates as economic and political integration across open borders; and,

Whereas, “integration” is a word that is painful to the ears of constitutionalists and those unwilling to surrender U.S. sovereignty to a committee of globalists who are unelected by the American people and unaccountable to them; and,

Whereas, “integration” is also an internationalist tool for subordinating American law to the globalist bureaucracy at the United Nations; and,

Whereas, “free trade” is never free with sovereignty being the cost paid by those pushing the United States toward integration with other nations; and,

Whereas, the socialist leaders of the EU have forcefully implemented a Constitution proclaiming it to have “primacy over the law of the member states”. In turn, this document explicitly requires the EU’s subservience to the United Nations. [Not only are the nations of Europe subordinating themselves to a European Union, the EU “constitution” is subordinating itself in turn to the UN]; and,

Whereas, certain EU whistleblowers and Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) have noted that the EU is a sham masquerading as a democracy and is hobbled by corruption at every level; and,

Whereas, Britain’s entrance into the European super-state has (since 1973) cost them control over their own:

  • Legal system (loss of habeas corpus, trial by jury, double jeopardy, presumption of innocence, etc.)
  • Trade policy
  • Environment
  • Fishing
  • Farming
  • Currency (gold reserves)
  • Armed Forces; and,

Whereas, Congressional support for TTIP would necessarily mean the rejection of the principles of our Declaration of Independence and our U.S. Constitution.

Therefore, be it resolved by this body of the Constitution Party assembled this date (April 25, 2015) to strongly oppose the economic and political integration proffered by the Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) since it will push the once independent United States of America into yet another collectivist bloc that will facilitate the complete dissolution of our republic and our several states into no more than impotent members of a one-world government.
