Gun Control     Common Core     ObamaCare     Amnesty     Agenda 21

StopGunControl2 “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”  (Cesare Beccaria, On Crimes and Punishment, quoted by Thomas Jefferson in Commonplace Book, 1774-1776)
“I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”  (George Mason, Co-author of the Second Amendment)

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson recognized that people are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. He emphasized that the “unalienable rights” of man come from God, not from government, and cannot legally be taken by government.

The founders of America chose to enshrine the right to keep and bear arms as the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights. “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” (U.S. Constitution – 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights)

President Obama has decided not to accept the view of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Adams, and Franklin, but instead to follow the example of tyrants such as Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and Mao – all of whom disarmed their people to make tyranny easier to enforce.

Disarmament is apparently one of the building blocks President Obama intends to use in building his new Orwellian, total surveillance police state. Despite his and Vice President Biden’s rhetoric, they must understand that disarmament will not “keep millions of people out of harm’s way” nor will it save “thousands of lives.”

Vice President Biden has been quoted as saying the president is considering executive action after his inauguration on January 21. Such an executive order is not permitted under the Constitution and it would place the president clearly outside the law. That is apparently a place in which the president seems quite comfortable as he legislates by executive order, appoints his czars to run his administration’s agenda without Senate confirmation, and conducts wars while insisting that even consulting Congress – let alone getting approval – is not required.

He chooses the example of history’s tyrants instead of the founding fathers. Why would he do that unless disarmament is part of his long-term strategy to fundamentally change America, and he needs a helpless, disarmed public to accomplish his goals?

The Constitution and Bill of Rights are under constant attack; and what is left of them requires constant vigilance to defend. Virtually every right listed in the original Bill of Rights is either dead or seriously threatened. We are not being threatened with quartering soldiers in our private homes as far as I know; but given enough time I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen, despite the Third Amendment’ prohibition.

Perhaps President Obama sees economic calamity coming to the nation as a result of his economic policies, and he wants us disarmed to make martial law easier to enforce. We can use history as a guide; but ultimately we can only guess at his motives.

The Constitution Party stands opposed to his efforts to disarm the American people, whatever the president’s motives may be. The Constitution Party opposes what the government usually refers to as “gun control” – and that is gun or ammunition confiscation, gun or ammunition registration and the restriction of semi-automatic firearms with high-capacity magazines. We in the Constitution Party understand that armed people are free while disarmed people are slaves. If you are opposed to these things as we are, consider standing with us.

StopCommonCore2 “The best means of forming a manly, virtuous, and happy people will be found in the right education of youth. Without this foundation, every other means, in my opinion, must fail.”  (George Washington)

Since the Constitution grants the Federal Government no authority over Education, the 10th Amendment applies:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

All teaching is related to basic assumptions about God and man. Education as a whole, therefore, cannot be separated from religious faith. The law of our Creator assigns the authority and responsibility of educating children to their parents.

Education should be free from all federal government subsidies, including vouchers, tax incentives, and loans, except with respect to veterans.

The Constitution Party Supports the PARENTAL RIGHT to provide for the education of their children, and affirms the free market principles of improving education through non-traditonal options such as internet-based schools, charter schools, religious and private schools, as well as home-based schooling.

The Constitution Party Opposes any federal control over the education of children.

The Constitution Party calls for the elimination of the federal Department of Education, as well as a repeal of any federally-supported programs such as Common Core, No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, etc.  There is NO CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION that empowers the government to provide for, or regulate, the education of our children.

The Constitution Party encourages state legislatures to Nullify all federal education programs.

StopObamacare2 “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined.” (James Madison – Federalist Papers #45)
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” (10th Amendment)

The Constitution Party opposes the governmentalization and bureaucratization of American medicine. Government regulation and subsidy constitutes a threat to both the quality and availability of patient-oriented health care and treatment. Hospitals, doctors, and other health care providers should be accountable to patients – not to politicians, insurance bureaucrats, or HMO Administrators.   If the supply of medical care is controlled by the federal government, then officers of that government will determine which demand is satisfied. The result will be the rationing of services, higher costs, poorer results – and the power of life and death transferred from caring physicians to unaccountable political overseers.   We denounce any civil government entity using age or any other personal characteristic to: preclude people and insurance firms from freely contracting for medical coverage; conscript such people into socialized medicine, e.g., Medicare; or prohibit these people from using insurance payments and/or their own money to obtain medical services in addition to, or to augment the quality of, those services prescribed by the program.

In April 2011, The National Committee passed a resolution, calling upon all Senators and Representatives in the U. S. Congress to honor their oath to obey the U.S. Constitution by rescinding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and encouraged the legislatures of the several states to exercise their sovereignty under the 10th Amendment to deny implementation of said act.

StopAmnesty2 “In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. … We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”  (Theodore Roosevelt)

The Constitution Party opposes any extension of amnesty to illegal aliens.

The Constitution Party calls for the use of U.S. troops to protect the states against invasion.

The Constitution Party has always been the only national political party to stand firmly against the proposals for a “Pathway to Citizenship/Comprehensive Immigration Reform/Amnesty” that come out of Washington. While many of these schemes by all shades of Republicans and Democrats seek to address the out of control situation of illegal immigration, all fail to address the Rule of Law.

They ignore the fact that illegal immigration is just that: illegal. “It is somewhat analogous to redefining laws against breaking and entering so that those engaging in such conduct would no longer be treated as criminals”, noted Darrell Castle, Constitution Party 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate.

Current proposals fail to address the negative impacts such legislation would have on entitlement spending, Obamacare, unemployment, sustainability, etc. Washington elitists will not admit that there are a variety of constituencies from environmentalists to Tea Party activists that oppose such legislation.

America’s best interests are not being put first in immigration reform debates. Castle also observed, “There is a current pathway to citizenship, it is called ‘legal immigration.’

The Constitution Party supports a sensible legal immigration system in the United States. However, this support should not be piggybacked, combined or confused with illegal immigration.

We support and demand legislation–a legal immigration system that complements and promotes the best for the United States of America and its citizenry, one that denies a pathway for those who have successfully, many with full pre-meditation, ignored our rule of law.” Frank Fluckiger, Chairman of the Constitution Party National Committee added, “The Constitution Party supports lawful solutions, including initiatives, such as ‘attrition thru enforcement’ programs, as a means to address illegal immigration — not a free pass to reward criminal behavior.

We support programs, such as E-Verify, to put millions of Americans back to work. We must have strict enforcement and compliance of any and all common sense visa programs, and we demand security of our borders and ports to ensure that illegal immigration is a diminishing problem for the future.”

StopAgenda21-2 “Let these truths be indelibly impressed on our minds: (1) that we cannot be happy without being free; (2) that we cannot be free without being secure in our property; (3) that we cannot be secure in our property if without our consent others may as by right take it away.”  (John Dickinson, signer of the Constitution)
“Let us therefore lay down a certain maxim: that whenever the public good happens to be the matter in question, it is not for the advantage of the public to deprive an individual of his property – or even to retrench the least part of it by a law or a political regulation”.  (Charles Montesquieu)

Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of utopian environmentalism, social engineering, and global political control that was initiated at the United Nations Conference on Environmental and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992.

Agenda 21 policy is being covertly advanced in local communities across the nation through the efforts of the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) in cooperation with state and municipal elected officials and bureaucrats via local “sustainable development” policies such as Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, and other “Green” or “Alternative” projects.

The Agenda 21 plan of “sustainable development” views private ownership, single family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms as destructive to the environment.   According to Agenda 21 policy, social justice is defined as the right and opportunity for all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment which would be accomplished by a socialist/communist redistribution of wealth.  It  deems the national sovereignty of the United States of America to be an enabler of social injustice.

The Constitution Party recognizes the destructive nature of Agenda 21 toward our God-given, unalienable rights and hereby exposes to the public and public policy makers the dangerous intent of the plan.   Neither the states nor any municipal civil government therein is legally bound by Agenda 21 because it has never been ratified by the United States Senate.

Elected representatives of state and municipal civil governments across America must be educated about the underlying harmful implications of their implementation of Agenda 21’s destructive  strategies for “sustainable development,” and we hereby endorse their rejection of its radical policies and rejection of any grant monies attached to such policies.
