The New England Constitution Party Meeting Set For December 1st and 2nd Will Feature an All Star List of Speakers
|
LANCASTER, PA--At its fall 2006 National Committee meeting in Concord, New Hampshire, on December 1st and 2nd, at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, the Constitution Party will welcome a dazzling array of constitutionalist speakers. Scheduled to appear and address the conference are former UN Ambassador Alan Keyes; best selling author, Jerome Corsi; CP 2004 Vice-Presidential Candidate, Chuck Baldwin; Oregon media personality and candidate for Governor, Mary Starrett; Constitution Party founder Howard Phillips; and former World Net Daily editor, Tom Ambrose. Alan Keyes, who has a PhD in government from Harvard University, served as the American ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council from 1983 to 1987. Ambassador Keyes boasts an extraordinary resume of public service and is a well-known champion of conservative, constitutional causes. His political views are based on America’s founding ideals as expressed in the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution. He has been an eloquent proponent of these ideals as a candidate for US Senate as well as for the Presidential nomination of the Republican Party. In addition, he has, among other things, served as the President of Citizens against Government Waste; hosted a syndicated radio show; served as a television news commentator, heads the Declaration Alliance and is in tremendous demand as a public speaker. In all of these endeavors Alan Keyes has been a forceful proponent of Constitutional principles and pro-family, pro-life values. Jerome Corsi is a best selling author and conservative activist who received a great deal of national media exposure as co-author of the New York Times bestseller, Unfit for Command, a book which in 2004 was highly critical of the conduct of Sen. John Kerry as a naval officer in the Vietnam War. Recently, Corsi has worked closely with Minuteman Project founder, Jim Gilchrist, and with him co-authored Minuteman: The Battle to Secure America’s Borders. In addition to working for the cause of border security and a halt to illegal immigration, Corsi has become the leader in the battle to expose the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and the Bush Administration’s attempt to quietly merge the United States with Canada and Mexico into a North American Union. Chuck Baldwin, pastor of Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, has served as director for the Florida Moral Majority, hosts the weekly radio program Chuck Baldwin Live, is a prolific writer and in 2004 was the Vice-Presidential nominee of the Constitution Party. Baldwin, a former, Republican, has been especially critical of the GOP for its cynical manipulation of Christian conservatives and so-called value voters. Baldwin has urged Christian conservative Republicans to re-evaluate their support for the Republican Party on the grounds that the Republican Party’s actions on moral and social issues has been totally at odds with its rhetoric. Mary Starrett is an Oregon media personality whose campaign for Governor in that state has been one of the real surprises of the 2006 election year. Her entry into the race prompted KATU TV’s political analyst, Tim Hibbetts, to call this the most astonishing Oregon gubernatorial race we’ve ever seen. Mary has exposed those who she calls the Big Box candidates for their support for big government, open borders, more abortions and abortion funding, and tax increases. Howard Phillips is the founder of the Constitution Party and chairman of the influential national grass- roots public policy advocacy group, The Conservative Caucus. In the 70’s Phillips headed two Federal agencies, including the Office of Economic Opportunity, from which he resigned when President Nixon reneged on his promise to veto funding for Great Society programs. For Phillips, who now lives in Virginia, this meeting marks his return to his native New England. Philips grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and is a Harvard graduate, he served as the Boston Republican chairman and assistant to the Chairman of the Republican National Committee. In 1974, Phillips left the Republican Party and organized the Conservative Caucus. This group has been active in opposition to the Panama Canal treaties, Salt II treaties, NAFTA and the World Trade Organization, abortion, gay rights, and most recently the Security and Prosperity Partnership, the first step toward merging the United States, Canada and Mexico into a North American Union. Phillips, along with being the founder of the Constitution Party, was its nominee for President in 1992, 1996 and 2000. He continues his committed involvement in the Constitution Party as a member of its National Executive Committee and as its Virginia state chairman. Tom Ambrose is a former editor of the online news service, WorldNetDaily.com. Ambrose, a New Hampshire resident, is a prolific writer on political issues and a champion of constitutionalist causes. All members and supporters of the Constitution Party, particularly those residing in the New England area, are cordially invited to attend this event. Registration is $155 for both days’ sessions, including lunch Friday afternoon and the Banquet on Friday evening. Tickets are also available for Saturday only for $25.
