WHY DO SOME AFFILIATED STATE PARTIES HAVE DIFFERENT NAMES?

Most state parties changed their names to “Constitution Party,” after the coalition of state parties that formed the U.S. Taxpayer Party became the Constitution Party in 1999. A handful of states were unable to change their state-registered names because of individual state restrictions, others just prefer a particular name.
