AmericanConstitutionist1 From time to time we simply must lay it out straight.

In this month’s newsletter I have written a synopsis of each Republican and Democrat candidate for president — I give positive and negative points to consider.

Needless to say, all fall far from any measure of the Constitution. However, I wrote this because occasionally I hear from a good Constitution Party member who says all warts aside, I like this politician or that politician. Principles — warts? — aren’t put aside in politics. If that were true, why even have a Constitution Party?

There may be some toes stepped on in the exposé of conservative PACs and patriotic charities. I found it an eye-opener. That’s found on page four.

Finally, I draw your attention to the announcement that at our National Nominating Convention is Salt lake City, April 15-17, there are display booths available for those who want to sell items to our most active and dedicated members. Please contact Peter Gemma for specifics at petergemma [at] mac [dot] com.

Also, our 2016 Presidential ticket will be launched from Salt lake City. Our convention will be a top class affair and we fully expect media coverage. Your gift of $50 or even $20 to help underwrite this all-important meeting is a wise investment that will bring back dividends right through election day.

Your Newsletter has Good News!

– 28 August 2014 –
by Frank Fluckiger, National Chairman

I’m really excited about our new newsletter. There is more information and important links than ever before. I urge you to read it — read it twice so you can go to the links — then send it on to a fellow patriot. Tell them this is why I’m involved in politics.

You should take pride in the good news about Alaska. Karen Murray’s story of her experiences in the Last Frontier State with the Alaska Constitution Party as they gathered signatures for ballot access is a fascinating read. Bravo to Alaska chairman J.R. Myers who is also our gubernatorial nominee.

And this news just in: The Constitution Party of West Virginia is now on the ballot. They did so by collecting over 10,000 signatures on petitions.

I won’t make this message long — I want you to have time to appreciate all the good news in the August edition of the American Constitutionist.

And your financial investments? All I can say is that there are 66 days until the election, and your Constitution Party is working overtime. We need your help.

Your July Newsletter

30 July 2014 –

by Frank Fluckiger, National Chairman

I’m very excited about our newsletter — we have plenty of announcements and even some things to brag about. Fielding over 150 candidates is one of them.

I urge you to read the commentary on illegal immigration. It’s a comprehensive look at this controversial subject, but one you won’t find elsewhere. Many “Conservative” groups use it for fund raising, and “think tanks” get only part of the story right. Our take on the illegal aliens crisis is based strictly on the Constitution and our heritage.

Bob Peck, who penned the article, states:

“He, nor the laws that He designed into His creation, will be mocked — what men sow, they will reap. … The real problem didn’t originate solely south of the border, nor entirely inside the beltway. Until we take responsibility for our own country’s spiritual and moral condition and for the results of our own political choices, no amount of complaining, marching in the streets, or writing cards and letters to our Congressman is going to fix it.”

If we are to stand apart from Socialist parties A and B, we must know the score and be able to defend our positions deftly. We have the platform, the candidates, and the resolve to move forward step by step. Even if that means being pushed back a step now and then. Progress for our party cannot be measured by a snapshot.

One thing I ask you to take seriously. We are in the midst of getting on the ballot in several states — your Constitution Party needs your financial investment now to get the job done. I can say little else but please hurry … there are just 98 days until the election.

Your June Newsletter

by Frank Fluckiger, National Chairman

2 July 2014

“All politics is local” — that was the advice of former House Speaker Tip O-Neal.  And, as Jim Clymer, our former National Chairman writes in the June newsletter:

True grassroots political action is that which springs up from a cause that catches fire at the local level, and then spreads to communities across the country.  It does not come from the top down.  The fervor for a cause arises like the “brushfires of freedom in the minds of men” as described by Samuel Adams, which spread across the landscape.

It was grassroots action that won us a place on the New Mexico ballot … and Wisconsin too. And it’s tireless Constitution Party activists who are hard at work securing a place on the ballot from Alabama to Alaska.

Your financial help is key to this activity. Please read our latest newsletter — and, as part of your role in organizing at the grassroots level, send it along to fellow patriots and post it on Facebook.

At the same time, I urge you to generously invest in the Constitution Party.

There are only 125 days from now until voters go to the polls. I hope some patriots will be motivated by that number and will give a gift $125 … or just $25. Every donation counts.

Summer is traditionally a slow season for fundraising, but it’s the prime time for grassroots politics. I believe our Constitution Party can meet the challenges of contributing and campaigning.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I don’t usually put exclamation points in my correspondence like I did in the subject line, but the party’s May newsletter is exciting and informative … it deserves much more than a simple announcement that a new issue is attached.

We had 55 Constitution Party candidates in March, and now, just 60 days later, we’ve more than doubled that field: 121 men and women carrying our party’s flag into the political arena. Find out where those candidates are and please get involved.

We’ve highlighted three Constitution Party candidates — there will be more campaigns that we will emphasize as key to our growth and impact.

Ballot access is fundamental to our success, and there is progress to report on that front too. However, I must remind you that our National Finance Committee has challenged us to raise $3100 toward immediate ballot access needs. More than 20 percent of that goal was met within 24 hours … however, we still need to close that campaign.

That’s why, right now while you’re thinking about it, I urge you to send a gift of $20, $25, or even $50 or more. It will be put to good use … there are 159 days left until voters go to the polls.

P.S. In the May newsletter, Cynthia Davis, a former four-term Missouri State Representative and 2012 Constitution Party candidate for Lt. Governor of Missouri, has an interesting piece that carries the tongue-in-cheek title, “Social Issues for Dummies.” It is a good reminder what sets us apart from the establishment candidates. Please note that Cynthia, who hosts the HOME FRONT radio podcast found on our webpage, is going on the road, taking her message of how social issues are best used in Constitution Party campaigns and in recruiting new members to our party. Cynthia is one good reason why your investment in the Constitution Party is so important. Please be generous.

Newsletter + Reaching the Business Community

Newsletter + Reaching the Business Community

 ~ 27 February 2014 ~

by Frank Fluckiger, National Chairman –

Newsletter_header1_consEagleRed As you will read in our latest newsletter, your Constitution Party has invested in reaching out to various constituencies that are looking for a political home.

Recently, I read a story that quoted Democrat Representative Rebecca Hamilton (an 18-year member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives): “Don’t bend your knee to the R and the D. Do not give them your vote or your support in a blind fashion. Christians are going to have to choose this day who we will serve.”

Thanks to your generous support,176,000 people — and counting — recently saw (on the average more than five times) our internet ad that reads: “America’s only 100% Pro-Life political party! From conception to natural death.”

Pro-lifers … homeschoolers … end the Fed advocates … opponents of the UN and other organizations that challenge US sovereignty … all are voter blocs we are trying to reach. Many times their issue interests overlap which makes them even better prospects for the Constitution Party.

But in this mix of those hot button causes, we must not forget the people who make the nation run, and that’s business owners.

They are a constituency interested in cutting the size, power, and cost of the federal government.

You’ll read in the newsletter of one businessman who sought us out — a successful entrepreneur one would normally write-off as a typical Republican — but his heart was touched by the clear stands we take on moral issues, and he was energized by the strong pro-free enterprise planks in the Constitution Party platform.

Remember, many patriotic business owners are opposed to illegal immigration — that gives unfair advantage in the open market of goods and services. They suffer the initial impact of the bi-partisan tax and spend policies.

And our specific and forthright stands on private ownership, energy production, wage and price controls, and Social Security — if better known — will attract more business leaders to our party. Their active support, as volunteers in building the infrastructure of state party affiliates, is key to our success. Their financial investments are vital in the Constitution Party’s effort to gain ballot access.

That’s why I’m asking you to underwrite more Internet ads — messages that will bring business leaders to our Facebook and website pages— they’ll immediately see the stark (and refreshing) differences we offer voters as compared to the elitist-owned political parties.

Your investment of $20, $30, $40 or $100 will bring back dividends in volunteers, candidates, and ballot access.

Your gift of $50 or even $15 will allow us to reach entrepreneurs, manufacturers, service industry leaders and more — to proclaim we are proudly pro-business. Help us extend our hand of friendship to this constituency — just as we are reaching out to pro-lifers. Smart business leaders and Constitution party members make good partners.

P.S. And be sure to read about our exciting new membership program, The Howard Phillips Legacy Society. This new monthly pledge fund provides a simple way to give, and offers participants many premiums such as a one gram 999.9 pure silver ingot especially created for the Constitution Party. Read what membership in this important group — named after the founder of our party — means to our continued growth.

Welcome To Our NEW Newsletter

Welcome to our NEW Newsletter
~27 January 2014~
by Frank Fluckiger – National Chairman

One of the best ways to grow our party is by circulating our monthly newsletter. It carries news of our progress, our take on the vital issues of the day, and provides a platform for our candidates — running for offices ranging from town council to the U.S. Congress.

Now I have the pleasure of introducing you to The American Constitutionist. I urge you to read over the issue, and then send it to friends and allies. It’s another effective way to demonstrate that the Constitution Party means business at every turn. We have to mean business because the hour is late. In 1884, Congress wrote its oath of office: “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same …” I believe there are politicians who don’t believe in that oath. They seek to ignore or do away with any Constitutional restraints on the dominance of the federal government in our lives. They seek nothing less than raw political power. The calling of the Constitution Party is to educate and motivate our fellow citizens: we must instill faith and allegiance to the Constitution to protect our liberties. Does the Constitution have enemies? You be the judge …

  • In a television interview during a visit to Egypt, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court asserts, “I would not look to the United States Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012,” In its place, she recommended, the South African Constitution, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, or the European Convention on Human Rights.
  • New York Times Supreme Court reporter Adam Liptak says, “The Constitution’s waning influence may be part of a general decline in American power and prestige.”
  • Georgetown University law professor Louis Seidman claims, “Our obsession with the Constitution has saddled us with a dysfunctional political system, kept us from debating the merits of divisive issues, and inflamed our public discourse.”
That is the challenge we face as Constitutionists: the Founding Fathers vision and values are either right and timeless for society, or we adopt situation ethics when it comes to the rule of law and the power of government.

I strongly believe in the advice handed down by Thomas Jefferson:

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.”

Let the fight for the Constitution be led by the Constitution Party. Read The American Constitutionist to see how you can help — state parties are on the move, a number of campaigns are already off the ground, and ballot access drives are underway.

To ensure success, patriots must invest our time, talent, and financial resources — your gift of $25 or $50 or even $15 helps so much in this election cycle. And I remind you that early contributions are far more effective in setting in place battle plans.

So share our newsletter by posting it on your Facebook page and sending it to friends: TEA party activists, pro-lifers, home schoolers … those who are just one step away from finding a home in the Constitution Party, but haven’t yet got an invitation.

I hope you appreciate the newsletter, and I hope you will invest $100 or even $10 right away. The election is fast upon us, and the fight for the Constitution is our cause.

Celebrating Another Success Story

Inaugural Year of the New Hampshire Constitution Party
cpofnh.com

Written By: Megan Schmitt, State Secretary

On the evening of March 1st, 2023, during a regularly scheduled Constitution party informational Zoom call, the question was raised… how serious are we?

By the end of the call, New Hampshire officially had its five State Officers. Though not necessary, we set a goal to be organized in time for the 2023 Spring National Committee Meeting, which was just seven weeks later. We met as often as possible to discuss different aspects, made trips to the bank for signatures, had discussions with local officials, etc. After many revisions (and a 13 hour in-person working session), our biggest hurdle (bylaws) was completed.

We even celebrated our second vice-chair, Edmond Laplante, being elected to his local school board!

April 16th at the historic 1838 Hope in Christ Church in Chichester, we held our first State Conference. This meeting included introductions, a rundown of the ground-up organization, a speech from the Eastern States Regional Chairman, Dave Kopacz, membership sign ups and voting. The Bylaws were accepted, and three National Committee members were elected. The following week, the bank account was finalized, and we were officially off to St. Louis!

After returning to New Hampshire, we got to work creating newsletters and trying to get our name out there. We walked in a few parades, set up a table at the Sean Feucht Kingdom to the Capitol concert, started attending John Birch Society events to network, and took as many constitutional classes as we could – some officers even became trained coaches! We also invited Caleb Collier from WA for a quick overnight speaking engagement.

As we entered fall/winter, we began focusing more on our committees – participated in a Constitution Day event, began hosting county meetings and preparedness potlucks, even planned a January 6th convoy and screening of J6: A True Timeline.

As we close out our first year, a few new members have joined, created a how-to guide for tracking legislation and how to submit testimony online as well as in-person, we met with the Secretary of State and discussed ballot access, working on constitutional awards for our state representatives, and brainstorming new advertising methods!

Our second annual state conference will take place in March.  We are so excited to continue this journey with the Constitution Party and see what 2024 will hold!
